Samsung announced today the Galaxy Tab 4 Nook – a 7-inch tablet that’s meant for e-book lovers, which was built with Barnes & Noble.

The tablet’s 7-inch display comes with a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution. The internals is composed of a 1.2GHz quad-core Cortex A7 CPU with 1.5GH of RAM and either 8GB or 16GB of built-in storage with option for expansion using a microSD card.

On the software side, the Tab 4 Nook will most likely come with the latest version of Android – KitKat with B&N’s customised UI. The skin overlay will provide the tablet with access to Barnes & Noble’s massive digital collection of books, magazines and newspapers.

Samsung intends to launch the Galaxy Tab 4 Nook initially in the US by August for close (or lower than) US$200.
