Plan round-up: Samsung Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, and Galaxy S6 Edge+
Buying a new smartphone can be a little bit of daunting experience; in addition to a plethora of plans to pick from, you've also got the option of going outright and jumping on a BYO month-to-month plan. To make things a little easier, we've taken a look at the best bang for the buck plans for Samsung's Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, and Galaxy S6 Edge+, highlighting options with both a little bit of data and a lot of data.
This story was sponsored by Samsung Australia.
Before we jump into it, Telstra is the one carrier that has 32GB of and 64GB options of every phone in the S6 family available. Vodafone and Virgin do however both have stock of the 64GB S6 Edge. If you're looking at a higher end plan, it's almost certainly worth going for the 64GB unit instead, as the per month price is – in most cases – identical.
Most of the telcos now have very similar pricing for the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, so if you're after the curved screen, there's very little reason to not go for it.
In terms of data, Virgin is the clear leader in terms of bang for buck, offering 4GB at the price point most others offer three.

If a 24-month contract isn't your thing, you're always able to buy one of the phones out right and jump on a month-to-month plan. Amaysim arguably offers the best value when it comes to BYO plans, currently leading the way with an AUD$49.90 per month plan with unlimited talk and text, powered by Optus' 4G network. E-tailer Kogan is back in the MVNO game too with a plan offering unlimited talk and text with 5GB of data for AUD$36.95, but you'll be limited to 3G for now. And of course, you've always got iiNet, TPG, Boost, and new entrants like Woolworths and Coles.
