Philips today announced the expansion of their Australian smart-lighting offering with two new 'Friends of Hue' products, LivingColors Bloom and LightStrips.

LivingColors Bloom is a compact "desktop lamp" designed to directly light a space or add an accent to a wall.

LightStrips are flexible two metre strips of LED lights designed to "deliver indirect light". Philips suggest LightStrips can be used under the couch, behind the TV or concealed in shelves. LightStrips can adhere to any solid surface.

LightSrips and LivingColors Bloom both require a Hue Bridge to operate, and are controlled via the Philips Hue mobile app available for iOS and Android. The pair are both output at 120 lumens, and as with the existing Hue range, can display 16 million colours.

A single LivingColours Bloom will retail for AUD$99.98, and LightStrips will retail for AUD$124.95 each. Both items will be available to purchase through Apple's online store from August 14, and through Apple's brick-and-mortar stores from August 27.
