Phablet Face Off: iPhone 6 Plus vs Galaxy Note 4 vs Galaxy Note Edge
About a month ago, we had a brief chance to go hands on with the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge. Unsurprisingly, the question on everyone's lips was "how does it compare to the iPhone 6 Plus?" After all, the iPhone 6 Plus, the Note 4 and the Note Edge are among the biggest and best phones each company has offered.
The iPhone 6 Plus, the Note 4 and Note Edge are almost identical in size. The iPhone 6 Plus is a little taller, whereas the Note 4 and Note Edge are just a little bit wider and thicker. However, the Note 4 and Note Edge manage to squeeze 0.2-inches and 0.1-inches of extra screen size into a fairly similar frame.
The iPhone 6 Plus' additional size mostly comes from its massive bezels, stretching out the device to monolithic proportions. As a result, the Note 4 and Note Edge look far more balanced. The ratio of screen to bezel is much higher, arguably making them look like slicker devices. I haven't spent too much time with either the Note 4 or Note Edge yet, but my first impression is that they're Samsung's best designed phones yet.
