Nokia E72 Expands Mobile Email Offering

Simple email set up is key feature to Nokia E72

Nokia E72 comes preloaded with Nokia Messaging giving users access to work and personal email accounts and Instant Messaging (IM).

For corporate email users, Nokia Messaging removes some of the barriers traditionally associated with mobile email such as cost and ease of set-up. Users simply type in their work email address and password and the set-up wizard does the rest.

Nokia Messaging provides access to email accounts such as Yahoo!Mail, Gmail, Windows Live Hotmail and Ovi Mail. And for the first time, it allows people to set up IM directly from the Nokia E72 home screen. People can now chat to friends and colleagues across multiple communities, including Windows Live Messenger, Yahoo! Messenger, Google Talk and Ovi Chat.

The slim Nokia E72 expands on the Nokia E71 features offering faster Internet up – downlink speeds for improved web browsing, the latest version of Ovi Maps with A-GPS navigation, an impressive five megapixel camera and an optical navi key.

The office capabilities on the Nokia E72 have also been updated with a new version of Quickoffice, which delivers Microsoft Office 2007 compatibility as well as free version upgrades when new features become available.

Recent Nokia research revealed that 46 per cent of people choose email over voice or text to send and receive important information. While work emails ranked as the most important messages to receive, they are not necessarily the most urgent messages to respond to.

Nokia’s research showed almost half of respondents (49 per cent) prioritise their partners ahead of their bosses, indicating the importance of being connected to both professional and personal networks on the go.
