Facebook has recently revealed that it will soon push an update that will push out more high quality content in its goal to be the go-to-place on the internet when it comes to current events.

According to Facebook, users will especially notice this change on mobile as more stories about news and current events will soon replace memes on the top of user feeds. Moreover, a related articles section may also soon pop up on user accounts that will show up to three related news stories once a user clicks on an article link.

There are also reports saying that the social networking giant will introduce a feature that will help push articles up in the news feeds whenever a comment is added on the post. However, Facebook did say that they are currently testing this feature so as to avoid spamming users’ feeds with articles that had too many comments.
