Nikon Rolls Out New DSLR

Nikon’s new D7000 DSLR camera is equipped with a new CMOS image sensor and a new image-processing engine, EXPEED 2, which enables capture of HD images. It also offers a number of high-performance features packed into a compact, elegant body.

As the DSLR market expands, camera enthusiasts are looking for a more diverse range of features than are currently available. There is an increased demand for advanced shooting functions, in addition to the ability to capture images with better definition and image quality. Most are also seeking to record movies with the rich power of expression that is only possible with SLR cameras.

The D7000 is equipped with the 1080p D-Movie function that enables recording of high-definition movies exhibiting superior video quality. Shooting is made easy with full auto-focus and stereo sound recording via an external microphone. Additional in-camera movie editing functions allow users to save a single frame as a still JPEG image or cut footages from the beginning or end of movie files.

This camera can be customised for better creative freedom, with a range of accessories available including GPS compatibility, an external microphone jack for stereo audio recording, Nikon creative lighting system with built-in master control, wireless transmitter WT4 and battery grip.
