Motorola’s highly praised Android smartphone is now officially hitting Australian shores this month.

The Moto X boasts a 4.7-inch 720p display with Corning’s Gorilla Glass, a 1.7GHz quad-core processor, Adreno 320 GPU, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of 32GB of internal storage. There’s also a 10MP camera at the back and 2MP camera at the front for taking self-portraits and making video calls.

But in contrast to other Android smartphones, the Moto X offers some unique features including its signature voice command feature that allows users to give instructions to the phone just by saying “Ok Google Now”. Users can also easily access the camera app by twisting their wrist twice while holding the phone.

The Moto X also works well with the Motorola Connect extension for Google Chrome that lets users see and respond to notifications and text messages from their browsers. Lastly, Motorola has added a Migrate feature on the Moto X that makes the transfer of content from your old phone to the Moto X more convenient.

The Motorola Moto X will be available in black or white this month starting at AU$549.
