It’s another manic Monday but before we all dive into the mountain of work that piled over the weekends, let’s first get ourselves updated with the latest news and rumours about the mobile phone industry.

HUAWEI ASCEND P6

Last Saturday, images of the Huawei Ascend P6 were leaked on the internet following previous leaks about its specifications. At a glance the Ascend P6 looks like an enlarged version of the iPhone 5 with its slightly boxy edges.

At only 6.18mm thick, the Ascend P6 is poised to be the slimmest smartphone in the world once it becomes official. The phone will also feature a 4.7-inch 720p display, a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, an 8MP rear camera, 2MP front-facing camera, 32GB of built-in storage and will run on Android 4.1.2.

LUMIA 925 SUPERMAN EDITION

Superman phone

Nokia has just announced that it will soon release a Superman-themed Lumia 925 for the Chinese market coinciding with the launch of the Man of Steel movie in June 14.

The Lumia 925 Superman Limited Edition will be available in an initial run of 925 devices and will sport a Superman branded back cover and will most probably come with the Man of Steel Windows Phone 8 app which was developed exclusively for Nokia Lumia devices. A wireless charging cover with the same Superman branding can also be purchased as a separate accessory once the phone becomes available.

The Lumia 925 Superman Limited Edition will be priced in China at around US$652. There’s no information if the phone will be available in other markets but it might also make an appearance in outside China just like Nokia’s Lumia 800 Batman Phone.

HTC ONE…Plus?

HTC One

Last but definitely not the least, is HTC’s rumoured phablet version of the HTC One. According to rumours the Taiwanese phone maker is reportedly planning to create a 5-inch or 6-inch version of the HTC One to increase its popularity and sales.

At present, information about this phablet is scarce. Moreover, there are also other reports that HTC might be preparing different edition of the device, including a downgraded version codenamed HTC M4 and a Google edition supposedly running a stock version of Android.
