It’s a brand new week and we welcome this day with more news of the upcoming flagship smartphone from HTC – the all new HTC One.

Last week we saw a leaked image of the dual-camera setup of the device and got a few pieces of information about its internals thanks to a leaked benchmark score of the handset. This week we get a clearer preview of the yet to be announced phone through another set of leaked images with the New One posing alongside the HTC One Max.

The photos are courtesy of the French tech website nowhereelse.fr which it uncovered from weibo.com – a popular microblogging site in China. Based on the leaked images, the handset will certainly be heading to China as evidenced by its ChinaMobile branding.

Aside from a Chinese-bound version, a separate leak (courtesy of @evleaks) also suggest that the phone will have a flip cover that will allow users to quickly view relevant information such as time and weather in a Lite Brite fashion.

Although it’s unsure that this cover will be the official case of the new handset (especially when previous leaks feature the handset in a different case) the unveiling of the phone is only a few weeks from now, so we’ll be able to verify this information soon. Also on the list of rumours about the handset is that it will also be offered in a Google Play Edition, which is not at all surprising given that its predecessor was also offered as a GPE device.
