Microsoft’s new flagship smartphone coming to Australia this month

Microsoft's Lumia 930 is making its way to Australia before the month's end, along with the Lumia 635. The Lumia 930 and Lumia 635 are among the first commercially available devices to run Windows Phone 8.1

The Lumia 930 boasts a 5" full high definition OLED screen, a 2.2 GHZ quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor and reportedly 15.5 hours of talk time. In addition, the device has 32 gigabytes of non-expandable internal memory, and 4G connectivity. The 930 will be available for $729 outright.

The Lumia 635 is almost identical to the Lumia 630, but with the addition of 4G. Also powered by a quad-core brain, the 635 has an 8 gigabytes of expandable storage and 4.5 IPS display. The 635 will be available for $279 outright.

Key features of Windows Phone 8.1 include Cortana, a voice activated assistant similar to Siri, an improved notification centre, updated lock screens, improved battery management and a revamped internet browser.
