Rumours have it that Microsoft may soon announce a mini version of its Surface tablet during its event next week in New York City, but a recent post on the company’s support page may have accidentally revealed the Redmond company’s plans to release the third generation Surface Pro tablet.

According to the support article published yesterday, the update for Windows 8.1 will add support to the Surface Pro 3 camera. An earlier report by CNET mentioned that an Intel-powered surface tablet might make an appearance during the event, and since the Surface Mini will likely have a Qualcomm chip, a Surface Pro 3 launch does make sense.

It should be noted that the reference of the Surface Pro 3 on the support article may be a result of a typo error. However, the article has been taken down today which may suggest it could be the real thing. Nonetheless, we just have to wait a few more days for this rumour to be confirmed or not, so let’s hold on to our horses until then.
