Today, we get a quick preview of Microsoft’s virtual assistant for its mobile operating system – Cortana. The leaked screen shot of Cortana comes from The Verge and shows what the digital assistant will look like on Windows Phone.
Design-wise, Cortana will be represented by a circular animated icon, which will reportedly jump about the screen whenever you ask it questions or when it responds to your requests. The colour of the icon will change depending on the selected highlight colour a user chooses for his phone.
The system can also be tweaked in order match a user’s preferences. For starters, Cortana can address a user by his chosen nickname. It can also index a user’s emails and will use information from these emails to keep track of services such as flights and restaurant reservations.
Microsoft’s Cortana is expected to be unveiled alongside Windows Phone 8.1 at the tech giant’s BUILD conference happening next month.
