Apple aren't the only company Samsung are making up with; a report in The Korean Times suggests Microsoft have begun discussions to end their patent feud. Earlier this month, Microsoft filed legal action as Samsung had stopped paying patent royalties as per the contract it signed in 2011.

According to The Korean Times' report, Samsung aim to negotiate a new "comprehensive cross-licensing deal" with Microsoft. HTC and Apple reached a similar agreement in 2012.

The two companies' mutually beneficial partnership is cited as the reason for avoiding court: Microsoft needs Samsung to be manufactured Windows Phone devices, while Samsung want better patent licensing terms from Microsoft.
