We’ve already seen a number of products last year that integrates household items and appliances into the digital realm, making it possible for consumers to control their homes through their smart devices.

And it looks like there’s more to come in the future. LG for instance has started sharing its plans for the continued development of smart appliances with a specific focus on its new Home Chat smart platform system.

Basically, the platform allows users to send an SMS to their connected appliances (maybe a refrigerator, robot vacuum, washing machine, etc.) and give them commands straight from their smartphones.

Moreover, LG is planning to roll out additional practical features to its line of home appliance lines. So we should expect more innovative features such as door-in-door refrigerators (which we’ve already featured on CyberShack TV), washing machines with “TurboWash” feature and dryers with new heat pump-powered front-load models.
