LG Formally Announces Three New G Pad Tablets

LG is trying to steal Samsung’s thunder by formally announcing three new G Pad tablets today – the G Pad 7.0, 8.0 and 10.1. We first caught glimpse of the tablet trio last month when images of the three devices were posted on the company’s website. However, the information that LG released about the tablets were very limited.

We first caught glimpse of the tablet trio last month when images of the three devices were posted on the company’s website. However, the information that LG released about the tablets were very limited. Today, the Korean electronics giant has finally released the complete specs sheet of the three G Pads.

All three models will havea 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, WXGA resolution, 1.3MP front-facing cameras and a microSD card slot.

The 7-inch model will have 8GB of storage, a 3MP rear camera and a 4000mAh battery. On the other hand, the 8-inch model will sport 16GB of on-board storage, a 5MP rear snapper and a 4200mAh power pack. Lastly, the 10.1-inch version will sport the biggest battery and storage capacity at 8000mAh and 16GB respectively.

All tablets will include LG’s KnockCode and Smart Keyboard, as well as the QPair 2.0 functionality that allows the slates to easily pair with Android smartphones.
