Lenovo Formally Announces the ThinkPad 10 Tablet

Lenovo has formally announced today its newest Windows 8 tablet – the ThinkPad 10. The tablet will sport a quad-core Intel Bay Trail CPU and 64GB-128GB of storage that can be expanded via a microSD card. As the name suggests, the new ThinkPad 10 will have a 10-inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels. Lenovo has formally announced today its newest Windows 8 tablet – the ThinkPad 10.

The tablet will sport a quad-core Intel Bay Trail CPU and 64GB-128GB of storage that can be expanded via a microSD card. As the name suggests, the new ThinkPad 10 will have a 10-inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels.

The tablet will also have a 10-hour battery pack and will be offered with options for pen support, TPM, 4G and fingerprint/Smart Card readers.

Lenovo is also offering several accessories for the ThinkPad 10 including a $129 keyboard case with island-style keys, a multi-touch trackpad and a slot for the pen in case you opted for the model with pen support. There’s also a folio case that features with a thinner keyboard and a pen holster for $119.

There’s also a dock that will sell for $119 and will sport three USB 3.0 ports, an HDMI port and an Ethernet port. And finally, there’s the $59 Quickshot case that has a pull-back corner that exposes the camera.

The Lenovo ThinkPad 10 will be available starting in June for around US$499.
