Microsoft’s acquisition of Nokia is almost a signed deal, so we’re just about ready to see more Windows-powered phones in the coming months. But surprisingly, a recent leaked image of a Nokia handset hints that there’s a possibility that the Finnish company could also adopt android for its handsets.

An image leaked by @evleaks shows the previously rumoured Nokia Normandy in red. The said device will reportedly run on Android and is said to be developed as an equivalent to an entry-level Nokia Asha. The phone is expected to run on Android with a heavily modified UI on top.

With the Microsoft-Nokia deal in its final stages, it’s hard to tell whether or not this phone would see the light of day, but there are reports saying that its development is going full steam ahead. The phone is expected to be released in early 2014 so we might just have to wait for an official announcement from Nokia in the coming months.
