A slide deck leak suggests that Intel maybe preparing a new breed of Haswell chips that designed to provide an even better performance to power users.
Based on reports, the company might launch its first 8-core CPU for desktops during the second half of the year with its 2014 Haswell-E enthusiast grade chip which will reportedly pack up to 20MB of L3 cache.
Intel may also release its Wellsburg motherboard chipset which will sport Intel’s Turbo Boost 2 technology in addition to support for DDR4 RAM with a clockspeed of up to 2,133MHz. Moreover, the company is said to have plans to replace its 4-core base model with either a 6-core or 8-core versions of the CPU.
