Instagram is undeniably one of the most popular photo and video sharing app in the market today. In fact, it has consistently been in the list of top apps both on Google Play and the iTunes store. However, it is yet to conquer the world of Windows Phone – that is, until today.

After months of waiting, the popular photo and video sharing app lands on Microsoft’s Windows Phone platform. The app will offer Windows Phone users with a Live Tile that refreshes every now and then with new data for a user’s feeds.

At present the app still bears the BETA moniker, which means that are still a few features that were left out. According to Instagram, they wanted to release the app as soon as possible, so a few features had to be compromised. However, they promised that they will be adding more functionality to the app via future updates.

The Instagram app is now available on the Windows Phone store for free.
