Huawei may soon up the ante with its smartphone offerings, especially with its upcoming flagship smartphone codenamed Mulan allegedly having specs that will blow the competition out of the water.

Today the handset makes the day’s round of rumours with four images showing its external features. The images were posted on Chinese blogging site Weibo and show the Mulan’s white plastic body bound by a metallic frame. Interestingly, the back of the handset reveals a small area where a fingerprint sensor will be placed.

On the other hand, the Mulan’s guts will feature the company’s new Kirin 920 chipset with a Cortex-A15 and Cortex-A7 processors arranged in a big.LITTLE configuration. The more powerful A15 CPU will be clocked at 2GHz while the A7 processor will be clocked up to 1.6GHz.

Moreover, the phone will have a 5-inch 1080p display, 3GB of RAM, a 13MP camera at the back and a 5MP front-facing camera. The Huawei Mulan is expected to be unveiled next week in China.
