HTC Re is an action camera for the rest of us
HTC today announced the HTC Re, a portable camera the company that has positioned as a GoPro "for the rest the us". Resembling a tiny periscope, the Re is a screen-less camera capable of taking both still 16 megapixel photographs and 1080p videos at 30 frames per second.
The Re features just one button that can pressed to take a photo, or held to record video. Instead of a power button, the device uses a grip-sensor to detect whether it's being held; once it's in your hand, Re will turn itself on. The Re is powered by a 820mAh battery, good for 1,200 photos of a 1 hour and 40 minutes of continuous video recording.
