Virtual personal assistants on mobile phones are now quite a thing. While Apple’s Siri is easily accessible on iPhones by simple holding down the home button, Google’s Now is a bit difficult to access, with the exception of that on the Nexus 5, which is accessible by a simple swipe from the homescreen.

Today, the Nexus 5’s Google Now Launcher is now available for select Android models. However, these models only include the Google Play edition devices of flagship phones and tablets of different manufacturers that run on Android 4.4.

Google hasn’t provided information yet on when it will bring the launcher to other Android smartphones beyond the Nexus and GPE line but we’ll update our site as soon as more info comes through.
