Those looking forward to getting Google’s smart glasses but are reluctant to try it out because they’re wearing prescription glasses should now feel at ease as Google announced today that Glass will now have an upgrade option for prescription lenses.

Consumers can choose from four styles: Curve, Thin, Split and Bold. Google Glass then attaches to the frame using several screws. The glasses’ frames will be made from titanium and are very unassuming. Google will also offer 2 new shades planning to use Glass frequently outdoors.

The upgrade will cost around US$225 and will be available starting today. Moreover, the search giant has partnered with a leading optical health insurance provider in the US for subsidised frames and lenses.
