Dymocks/EMI Team Up With Acer

  • Dymocks to sell Acer tablet
  • $100 worth of free content with purchase
  • 2 million tracks available at EMI tune store

Acer Computer Australia has announced a new partnership with Dymocks and EMI Australasia, which delivers Australian content to its latest Iconia Tab, namely the A500.

When customers purchase the Iconia Tab A500, Acer will be providing $100 worth of free content in the form of an eGift voucher. The eGift Voucher, redeemed online, entitles customers to purchase a range of e-books from Dymocks Online and music content from The In Song.

Dymocks will sell the latest Acer computer tablet range in selected Dymocks stores around Australia and online. The Acer Iconia tablet range will support Dymocks’ multichannel strategy, delivering to customers new ways to engage with books in digital formats.

Dymocks Chief Executive Officer, Don Grover said the new digital tablet offering is the next stage for the company in adapting and meeting customer demand for their books and services across all channels of distribution.

“With over 200,000 eBooks on the Dymocks website, our customers will be able to utilise the new Dymocks eBook App for Android with the latest technology from Acer to enjoy books in new and exciting ways,” said Grover.

Consumers can also use their eGift Voucher to grow their music collection from a catalogue at a new music destination, The In Song. Managed by EMI Music, the store features over two million tracks from all the major record labels including Universal, Sony and Warner. The latest charting tracks and albums as well as the classics of years gone by can be enjoyed in high quality digital format.

The Iconia Tab A500 runs on Google Android Honeycomb 3.0 and is available in 16 GB and 32 GB versions.
