BlackBerry Shuffles Top Execs As New CEO Take The Reins

BlackBerry’s corporate ladder remains shaky and unstable as more top executives are either leaving their posts or being replaced. A few weeks ago, the company announced that its CEO Thorstein Heins will be leaving BlackBerry and will be replaced by interim CEO John S. Chen. Today, a couple of the company’s top executives, specifically its COO Kristian Tear and its CMO Frank Boulben are also bidding farewell…


 

BlackBerry’s corporate ladder remains shaky and unstable as more top executives are either leaving their posts or being replaced.

A few weeks ago, the company announced that its CEO Thorstein Heins will be leaving BlackBerry and will be replaced by interim CEO John S. Chen. Today, a couple of the company’s top executives, specifically its COO Kristian Tear and its CMO Frank Boulben are also bidding farewell.

The current Chief Financial Officer, Brian Bidulka will be replaced by James Yersh who has been with BlackBerry since 2008. Yersh has held numerous posts within the company including SVP, and Controller and Head of Compliance.

There was no explanation on why the said executives are leaving or why they are they being replaced but he describes the executive shuffle as a major component on the company’s new strategy to focus its core strength in the mobile device management.
