The previously rumoured BlackBerry Z3 has now been officially confirmed by no other than the company’s CEO, John Chen at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

However, the details of the Z3 are not clear yet. The only thing we know so far about the handset is that it will have a 5-inch screen, option for either 3G or LTE connectivity and will sell for $200.

But earlier reports say that the phone will likely have a Snapdragon 400 chip, a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1.5GB of RAM, Adreno 305 GPU and at least 8GB of storage with option for expansion through a microSD card.

The BlackBerry Z3 is designed to target consumers in emerging markets and is expected to ship to Indonesian customers by April.

John Chen also confirmed that the company is working on another smartphone called the Q20 (aka The Classic) which will bring back the classic track pad and function keys to the next-generation BlackBerry handsets.
