Local demand for the Surface Pro 3 has been unprecedented according to Glen Gregory, Harvey Norman's National Business Manager for Technology & Entertainment. Gregory described the Surface Pro 3 as the game changer that's been needed since launch the launch of Windows 8. "Pre-sales up until launch were at several thousand units", Gregory said, " which exceeds any previous PC or tablet launch, including the Surface 1 and 2".
The retailer has also seen a spike in accessory attachment rates. Gregory said that the average customer purchased at least three accessories with the Surface Pro 3: the Type Cover, a HDMI adaptor and the docking station. In addition, the majority of customers have been purchasing a copy of Office 365.
Comment was sought from JB HiFi, but organisation had not yet responded at time of publication.
