Apple To Release “Cheaper” 8GB iPhone 5C Tomorrow (UPDATED)

Apple will reportedly announce a cheaper 8GB version of the iPhone 5C tomorrow, 18 March according to a report by techradar.com. The information was courtesy of a store by European carrier O2. The 8GB is said to be atleast 60 euros cheaper than the current iPhone 5C model which now retails at 560 euros. This should make the 8GB model the cheapest iPhone on offer today…

Apple will reportedly announce a cheaper 8GB version of the iPhone 5C tomorrow, 18 March according to a report by techradar.com.

The information was courtesy of a store by European carrier O2. The 8GB is said to be atleast 60 euros cheaper than the current iPhone 5C model which now retails at 560 euros. This should make the 8GB model the cheapest iPhone on offer today.

The new model is also expected to enter other emerging markets especially with other manufacturers such as HTC and BlackBerry now giving more attention to developing economies to boost sales.

UPDATE:

The 8GB iPhone 5C is now available in different parts of Europe. The handset will sell for 429 GBP contract-free, while in other parts of the continent, it will be offered under a contract for free on UK's O2 network and for 1 euro under France's SFR network.
