We've been hearing 12-inch iPad rumours for a while now, but the latest reports are now suggesting we could see it in first half of 2015. Apple's suppliers are preparing to manufacture the company's largest-ever iPad, with productinslated to commence by the first quarter of next year according to a report published by Bloomberg.

Bloomberg suggests that Apple is trying to shake up the stagnating tablet market. While the iPad is Apple's second-biggest product by revenue, its sales have decline for two straight quarters.

Jitesh Ubrani, an analyst at researcher IDC told Bloomberg that while tablet sales growth has slowed, he projects that businesses, schools and governments will become bigger buyers of the devices, and that larger tablets will do better in the enterprise sector.

Late last year, a report leaked to The Korea Times suggested that an Apple display supplier in Korea was working on a display for a 12.9-inch iPad. The report stated that the device's display will near 4K quality.

Apple's current tablet offerings, the iPad Air and the iPad mini have 9.7 and 7.9-inch displays respectively. The reported 12.9-inch display would make a new iPad closer in size to the Surface Pro 3 or a laptop such as the MacBook Air.
