We’ve already seen a leaked photo of the long-rumoured Amazon smartphone. Today, we get more juicy information about what other features this handset will have.

According to a report by BGR, the Amazon smartphone, apart from having a number of sensors at the front will employ a lot of gesture-based controls – specifically those that involve tilting the device.

For instance, a user can access additional options when tilting the phone such as when accessing Amazon’s video store where IMDB ratings are displayed on top of movie thumbnails. Another example given to BGR includes Yelp ratings appearing on top of various points in the maps app whenever a user searches for restaurants.

Moreover, Amazon will reportedly replace its traditional menu button with motion-based controls. There are also reports that the phone will feature an optical character recognition technology that will allow the camera to automatically recognize text in images and convert it into notes.
