Adobe announces Creative Cloud 2014, new iPad apps

Adobe today announced the 2014 update to its Creative Cloud service. The 2014 update includes new versions of 14 products, including Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom, InDesign, Dreamweaver, After Effects and Premiere.

The 2014 update includes new versions of 14 products, including Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom, InDesign, Dreamweaver, After Effects and Premiere. One of the notable features announced was Photoshop support for Windows 8 touch devices, such as the Surface Pro 3. Tighter cloud integration is available in the majority of applications, allowing users to access files, fonts and other assets for anywhere.

Creative Cloud 2014 is available for free to existing Creative Cloud customers. A Creative Cloud 2014 subscription costs $49.99 per month on a year-long contract, and gives users access to the entire suite of applications.

Adobe also announced three new iPad apps, Line, Sketch and Photoshop Mix. Photoshop Mix is a cut down version of the desktop Photoshop designed specifically for iPad; thanks to tight cloud integration, Photoshop Mix is able to offload processing for more intensive tasks such as Content-Aware fill to Adobe's server. Adobe Sketch and Adobe Line are a bit more simple; Sketch, as the name suggests, a sketch pad app, and Line is a drafting app for drawing straight lines, geometric shapes and perspective views.

Individual applications are available for $19.99 per month. These are available now, and will be coming also be coming to iPhone in the near future.
