Acer today announced the Aspire Switch 10, a 2-in-1 device that takes some cues from Lenovo’s Yoga line of convertibles.

The device sports a 10.1-inch IPS display and features Acer’s Zero Gap bonding technique that minimises glare on the screen. The Switch 10 will be powered by an Intel Atom Z3745 CPU and should last for 8 hours on moderate use.

Similar to the Lenovo Yoga, the Switch 10 will have a variety of modes including the typical clamshell notebook mode and tablet mode. There’s also a display mode where the screen is facing away from the user and a tent mode where the tablet is positioned upside down.

The Switch 10 also comes with a keyboard dock that comes with a USB port, a microSD card slot, a miniature HDMI port and a built-in hard drive in case the 32GB/64GB of on-board storage on the main unit isn’t enough for your needs.

The Acer Aspire Switch 10 will run on Windows 8.1 and will be available starting in June for around 400 AUD.
