2000 free LG G Watches up for grabs

We were pretty impressed by the G Watch in our recent review, but we understand why some aren’t yet sold on the idea of smartwatches. It’s always feels a bit risky buying a completely new product without being able to see it in a store first, and for some, the $259 price tag might be too much for a wearable device.

We were pretty impressed by the G Watch in our recent review, but we understand why some aren't yet sold on the idea of smartwatches. It's always feels a bit risky buying a completely new product without being able to see it in a store first, and for some, the $259 price tag might be too much for a wearable device.

In conjunction with Telstra and Vodafone, LG are removing price as a barrier of entry and offering 2000 free G Watches. The first 1000 Vodafone customers to pre-purchase the LG G3 will receive a bonus G Watch, and the first 1000 Telstra customers to purchase a LG G3 from August 4 onward will also receive a G Watch.

While the G Watch has been available on Google Play from the beginning of July, customers will get their first chance to look at the watch in person from the first week of August. The G Watch will also be available through retailers Harvey Norman, JB HiFi and Dick Smith.
